  • As a certified fertility massage specialist, Sonia Beauchamp can provide a specialized massage protocol which has been specifically developed to enhance fertility. $60 per session (90 minutes)
  •   Personalized individual instruction is included- along with a complete self-care program.  This self-care fertility enhancing program can be performed on it's own or in conjunction with regular massage treatments. $60 per hour of instruction
  •   Private fertility massage instruction is also available to couples.

Fertility massage was developed in order to enhance a couple's potential to conceive.  It combines a soothing caster oil abdominal massage, craniosacral, reflexology, and acupressure in order to promote an optimal environment for conception to occur.  This is not simply only a massage treatment but a new way of embracing and honoring your divine feminine.

Fertility massage sessions must be scheduled in harmony with the client's monthly cycle.  A self-care routine will also be taught for use between massage sessions.  Instruction on your body's natural rhythm will be provided in order to correctly time intercourse.

Fertility massage can enhance the effectiveness of assisted reproductive procedures such as:
Artificial Insemination
Intrauterine Insemination
Fallopian Sperm Transfer System
InVitro Fertilization

Sonia Beauchamp has obtained the title and certification "Fertility Massage Specialist" under advanced training from Claire Marie Miller in 2009.

Fertility Massage Facts:

·        The Fertility Massage protocol was developed by a leading specialist in the field of pregnancy massage, Claire Marie Miller.  Over the last 19 years, this technique has evolved into what it has become today.  Six years ago was the start of a fertility massage specialist certification program in order to meet the increasing demands of professionals.

·        Fertility Massage Therapy works in conjunction with fertility clinics and alternative health care practitioners.  It benefits assisted reproductive technology, such as, artificial insemination, intrauterine insemination, fallopian sperm transfer system, and in-vitro fertilization.  It is suitable for use with most fertility medication.

·        Fertility Massage is also well suited to couples who are undergoing a pre-conception cleanse, 3-6 months before planning to conceive.

·        Sessions must be timed according to ovulation to ensure complete safety.

What to expect at a fertility massage session:

·       Cranial Sacral Therapy:  The cranium is directly related to the position of the pelvis.  These gentle holds help to promote balance between these areas and the release of tension in the pelvis.

·       Neck, Jaw, and TMJ massage:  Tension that is stored in the jaw often radiates into the neck and causes postural distortions.  Because the hips naturally try to balance the position of the head, massage of the neck and jaw can help alleviate deep pelvic tension.

·       Abdominal Massage:   Soothing massage helps to promote colon cleansing by stimulating the large and small intestines.  Castor oil is massaged onto the abdomen while the area is heated gently.  This increases circulation in the digestive system, promotes lymphatic flow, encourages elimination of waste from the colon, and helps to open the fallopian tubes.  Overall, these effects benefit the reproductive system.

·       Abdominal and Pelvic Friction:  Deep massage of the lower abdomen helps to break up congestion and adhesions in the tissue.  This is the most important part of the session and will help to increase blood flow, promote lymphatic cleansing, and give increased mobility to the reproductive system. Pelvic friction is a style of deep tissue massage which is performed on the abdomin along the bony prominces of the hip cavity.

·       Acupressure:  Pressure point massage will promote relaxation and stimulate points that correspond to the reproductive system.

·       Reflexology:  Pressure will be applied to specific points on the feet to promote relaxation and to balance the reflex areas that correspond to reproduction, the endocrine system, and the digestive system.  Preliminary research on reflexology has indicated benefits for both pre-menstrual syndrome and pregnancy.

·       Self massage/ home care   Clients will be instructed on a self-care routine to be used in-between sessions that includes massage and soothing heated castor oil abdominal packs.

·        Castor oil is a triglyceride of fatty acids, 90% of which are ricinoleic acid.  Many cultures have a long history of castor oil folk remedies.  It is proposed that topical applications may benefit the lymphatic system and dissolve ovarian cysts/ fibroids.  Preliminary studies have shown that castor oil may promote healing in cancer patients after radiation and may also speed the recovery of wounds.  Kukui nut oil may also be used as a substitute.
